How did you people get to rank 3 with the gunsmith??
I'm only rank 2 and 3 quarters and I got all 4 fusion rifle things and I did all the weapon testings. How did you guys do it?

Very first week we got the night fall boost before we did the weapon testing for the gun Smith

First preview week with nightfall buff and 5 test weapon, you hit rank 1 +60reps

Lol I'm almost rank 4. Just need to finish my exotic quest for Banshee and get some fusion rifle thing drops.

2 RepliesThere were 2 factors; First week nightfall bonus +25% rep gain Second week he had 4 new weapons available from Tuesday reset til his own Wednesday reset. I'm not rank 3 yet either but that's how it happened for some folks

I got lucky with those "material prototype weapons" that come in the appearance as a fusion rifle to turn into the gunsmith. Found 3 so that was an easy 600 rep gain.

Nightfall buff a week before the ttk drop helped when doing field test weapons

Getting relics randomly helps get rep. He gives 200 for each fusion rifle relic

8 RepliesI don't think anyone has pointed out that one of the Crucible Quests toward the end gives 500 gunsmith rep. His rank 2 quest also gives some. Possible to hit rank 3 using those without the extra weapons or nightfall.

In the first week we had the nightfall bonus active and he had two sets of weapons to test. I'm close to three, didn't get there yet because i finished two weapons before i completed the nightfall
