Left for an hour and came back to my room and to my surprise my game system was gone. I work all day to buy nice things and some PIECE OF SHIT TRASH stole the only thing I use when I come home.
Best part is it more then likely someone I know. My system is in a basement room not near any other valuable items throughout the house.
Now I can't trust my brother's or my own friends because of one stupid incident. Some days I just love this world and other days I just plain hate it.
Thank you for letting me vent and thank you even more if you took the time to read.
Update 1: Evidence is pointing to my uncle. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but odds are not in his favor. Great day when you can't trust family "That one group of people that no matter the situation they should be there for you".
Update 2: It has been confirmed that my uncle stole it. He sold it for drug money. Lesson here is drugs hurt more than just the user. Please be sure to help any of your family that he have addiction. Don't let them fall down that slippery slope.
A big thank you everyone being supportive, and even to you shit-posters ( you cared enough to keep the thread going ). We're looking into security systems, but it doesn't look like my ps3 will be returned based on the sale parameters. Also seems to be a unanimous agreement from the community to press charges.

If you have the serial # you can report it stolen. Also go by your local gameshops/pawnshops and provide the number in case someone tries to sell it.

Lock the door?

Bro, I had someone take my Magic Cards backpack out of my car recently. Killed me. That was years of deck building taken from me.
-
Yup, if you're house gets broken into, chances are most likely that it's someone you know.
-
Prob someone u know. Think about who saw it, who was envious. That's the one. In no way is this to be considered advice.
-
Duece that sucks. Hope you don't have your credit card info in there. As long as you didn't save your password you should be ok. Call PlayStation or Xbox and let them know. You will need the systems serial #. If someone logs on they will let you know

Edited by DEVILDOG: 9/26/2015 12:57:06 AMIf you have the serial and mac address, you can turn that into the local police department and sony will track that system. As soon as it is connected to the internet, it will ping to Sony and they will have its new IP address and then they can track down the address on file with that person's internet provider!!! Good luck! Trust me, been there, done that. As long as you file a police report and they get in touch with Sony, they will track it as long as the thief who stole it, or any new person that uses it, connects it to the internet. If you do not have the MAC address for the system, contact Sony and request it if you have the box and serial # still.

Plant Legos everywhere.

That sucks bro. I know how you feel....I've had valuable and non-valuables taken from me from family. It's usually the ones that take advantage of others and feel that your "family" it's ok to "borrow". Does your uncle live with you? Is there a way you can pay him a "visit" and scour his home? Be patient and plan it out. A system nowadays is a whole paycheck for a 20yr old. Be patient. I hope it works out.

Edited by a clumsy scrub: 9/25/2015 8:30:21 PMHappened to me back when halo 3 was cool. Some little twat came to my door, asking to talk to my sister. I had my headset on and controller in hand. This is why I believed it was him. Later that day or the next day maybe, I went out with my mommy to see her friend. We get back maybe an hour later and my xbox is gone. My mom searches the house, and all her jewellery is there still, and nothing seems out of place except my xbox. My mom calls the cops and files a report for burglary.. That day or the next, my sister went and found that little shit.
and came home with my xbox lol! Never saw that kid again, and its a good thing too, i may have been only 12 or 13 at the time, but i remember wanting to punch him in the face really bad. Nobody comes into my basement apartment without permission and steals shit
Accuse everybody. Someone will confess.

Edited by Lunchbond: 9/25/2015 8:09:00 PMSounds like you're under 18. Does your family have home/renters insurance?

That sucks my friend

I know the feeling. The July before last my place was broken into. They stole my Xbox one, 7+ xbox one games, stole over 400 360 games, my wife's laptop, her jewelry, and had both of my daughter tvs and a 360 ready to come back and take. All in all I was out about 3 to 4 grand... Still no capture to this day...
-
Man that is just..... Totally -blam!-ed. Back in high school when I was selling weed one of my "friends" stole about $1000 worth. I knew who it was because only 2 people knew where it was. I'm sure you weren't as careful about people knowing where your console was though lol sorry
-
Check ebay. I saw listing that looked suspicious. Said found in a basement...
-
Phone PS or MS and get them to trace where its next logged in from or get them to brick it
-
Time for an investigation.
-
Remember man karma is a bitch. Work hard and be carful with who you're friends with
-
Dayum man that really sucks, last year I had my motorcycle stolen and it was a nightmare.
-
My cousin had the same thing happen to him but it was his 360 and games.
-
Warranty ftw? Mine covers it.
-
That sucks bro. I hope you find whoever took it, and stomp their ass
-
We're there any broken windows or locks?

Completely understand. When I was 16 my BEST FRIEND became friends with some other shady guy and broke into my home & stole $100+ from my fathers den. Felt so betrayed and untrusting for the longest time after that due to the fact that my best friend of 6+ years seriously broke in my home & stole shit.
