Left for an hour and came back to my room and to my surprise my game system was gone. I work all day to buy nice things and some PIECE OF SHIT TRASH stole the only thing I use when I come home.
Best part is it more then likely someone I know. My system is in a basement room not near any other valuable items throughout the house.
Now I can't trust my brother's or my own friends because of one stupid incident. Some days I just love this world and other days I just plain hate it.
Thank you for letting me vent and thank you even more if you took the time to read.
Update 1: Evidence is pointing to my uncle. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but odds are not in his favor. Great day when you can't trust family "That one group of people that no matter the situation they should be there for you".
Update 2: It has been confirmed that my uncle stole it. He sold it for drug money. Lesson here is drugs hurt more than just the user. Please be sure to help any of your family that he have addiction. Don't let them fall down that slippery slope.
A big thank you everyone being supportive, and even to you shit-posters ( you cared enough to keep the thread going ). We're looking into security systems, but it doesn't look like my ps3 will be returned based on the sale parameters. Also seems to be a unanimous agreement from the community to press charges.

That's harsh man, I mean if you can't trust family then who can you trust
-
Lmao a ps3

My brother is a crack and heroine addict; I know your pain. My brother stole all my mothers jewelry and found it at a pawn shop. She filed a police report and went to the pawn shop with the police and most of her stuff back. I guess if you uncle sold it or traded it on the streets your screwed. Hang in there man and let your uncle be a lesson to you.

Can we start a fund me page to get u a ps4

Edited by Devious_Melons: 9/26/2015 11:10:22 AMUpgrade And get your uncle into rehab
-
Did you have insurance? I had insurance but when my house was broken into they didn't pay out. Lesson is, never get insurance.
-
Whenever you get it back ill play with you, sorry to hear that man, best wishes
-
Save up for a Ps4
-
ouch. well good thing the country im in has a low criminal rate
-
Sorry to hear about your predicament, it must be especially hard knowing that the crime was committed by a member of the family, shit like that destroys your ability to trust anyone. Back in 2012 someone broke into my house while I was up in Dublin attending my Uncle's funeral. I came back home and met my PS3 on my bed and my Nintendo DS, 3DS and my PSP ( and all my PSP games ) were gone. Later on I discovered that I was missing certain PS3 games ( Uncharted, God of War 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, Arkham Asylum, Final Fantasy XIII ). I never found out who did it but I am curious about the culprit since very specific things were taken. I had an XBox 360 and a massive library of games ( it was my main console last gen ) and none of those were touched, they also left a lot of my better ( and more favourite ) PS3 games behind.

Sorry to hear about it Fella, you will get over it, but you'll never forget it unfortunately:( Happened to me in 1998, I got my Playstation 1 and money etc stolen by a drunk Irishman who lived next door to us! ( Nationality not important just factual) Never press charges on your family for something like this! It wont help him or you in the long term.
-
Coming from a drug addict (I don't drugs anymore but addiction is for life) I would press charges on him. I hated when I would go to jail for Possesion and I'd feel all types of resentment but in the long run it helped get clean and I'm actually ALOT better off and extremely happy. Though your uncle might feel anger and frustration, being sent to jail and rehab works for most. Sometimes you just have to hit rock bottom before you realize that the cause of this misery is ones own fault.
-
Coming from an LEO I can only suggest having him charged. Best way to get him the help he needs is through programs offered when in custody.
-
Should be covered under your home owners insurance policy, or renters insurance policy if you have one. File a claim.
-
Hey guardian, Sorry this happened and I have gone through the same with my mother. Best advice I can give is tough love. It is not your problem to fix, nor can you, but you can be there for them when they are ready. Best of luck and hope it all gets resolved -- sooner rather than later.
-
Tell him you're going to press charges if he doesn't get the help he needs.
-
Never sue family because it'll make things weird at thanksgiving or Christmas

[quote]Update 2: It has been confirmed that my uncle stole it. He sold it for drug money. Lesson here is drugs hurt more than just the user. You literally couldn't leave anything valuable out in the open while he was around or he would steal it. He ended up stealing thousands of dollars worth of stuff from the family, including a $500 watch of mine. He lived with my parents, was kicked out and we hardly associate with him anymore. Family had to install an intense security system and all that jazz. Luckily I live a couple hours away, so he's not something I have to worry about. Drugs addicts are some of the most irrational, selfish people in the world. I have no doubt that my brother would rob my family or myself of everything we own if he was able to.

Edited by Stacking Skulls: 9/26/2015 7:40:08 AMMy house was broke into in August, live in a very small community that this never happened in before. Took a whole lot including the kids piggy banks, but as my son said "I'm so happy they never took the tv's or the Xbox!" By the way check your insurance policy all my stuff will eventually be replaced.
