Of The Three, You Can Only Pick One
So guardians, of the 3 new Swords of the Exotic breed, if you could only pick [b][i][u]1ONE1[/u][/i][/b] which would you choice and why?
All three are pretty unique in there own ways each with pros and cons. Choice wisely, Guardians.

Edited by LordCainhurst: 10/21/2015 7:10:00 PMRaze-Lighter is supreme for absolutely DESTROYING one enemy at a time. Its definitely the hardest hitter out there. Bolt-Caster is kind of middle of the pack as far as its heavy attack goes. It doesn't particularly excel at single target or AoE damage as its good at both but it doesn't compare to the other two exotic swords. However its definitely the best choice for a dedicated PVP player. Dark-Drinker can totally demolish a multitude enemies and put out some rather hefty DPS towards one enemy as well. I'd say it can almost keep up with Raze-Lighter in boss killing as it does good sustained DPS. So far I own Raze-Lighter and Dark-Drinker, love them both to death. Going to get Bolt-Caster next on my Hunter. Still, no sword on this poll is truly better than the other. They're all absolutely amazing weapons that do different things. Its really all up to your personal preference and playstyle.

1 Replyraze-lighter, i dont understand the point of having a sword with a primary attack thats good at killing adds in 1 swing, and a secondary attack thats good at killing adds.bolt caster is good, but doesnt do enough single target damage for me

3 Repliesfor those picking dark drinker, you obviously do not have the solar sword lol the solar sword completely DESTROYS everything while using much less ammo than dark drinker. Solar sword is life

I took down golgoroth when we lost 2 members to Cursed Thrall with DD, we were about to wipe and I just kept using my special ability on him.

[b]Raze-Lighter[/b] hits three times in one swing for massive instantaneous damage. Incredibly useful for boss killing. Note: Can kill a Psion Flayer in 4 seconds. [b]Bolt-Caster[/b] sends out an arc projectile that hits for massive impact damage, also leaving an AoE DoT storm with massive DPS capabilities. Useful in the Crucible and for boss killing. [b]Dark-Drinker[/b] creates an AoE with its total damage dispersed around your guardian in a circle. Useful when surrounded by a few Thralls. Note: Can [b]not[/b] kill a Psion Flayer in 4 seconds [spoiler]If the votes in this thread consisted only of players the knew what they were doing, DD wouldn't even have 1%[/spoiler]

Just got my final sword, Raze-Lighter, today. I have all three maxed out and Bolt-Caster is easily the best with it's ranged attack. It's more useful in PvE other than the parts where DPS is top priority and for me, it makes any other heavy weapon irrelevant in PvP unless you're using an exotic elsewhere. I honestly didn't expect the results of this poll to be anything other than Bolt-Caster, Raze-Lighter, Dark-Drinker (from first to last place).

I love em all, raze-lighter definitely does the most single target damage, every time I get the dust palace strike I check if I have it with me, the only thing I don't like about it is when I go to hit the guy in front of me but when I hit the special attack my character turns around and hits the guy behind me. Bolt caster I don't use as much because I don't play a lot of crucible but its good, especially with shadowshot. My choice was dark drinker though, it still does heavy damage to single targets plus anything around you, its my go to for stuff like court of oryx, takes down both knights in no time and is just the most fun for me.

Sure, it doesn't do the most damage to a boss, nor can it deal damage the fastest, but it's really good against any enemy (PvE or PvP). It can attack multiple at once, and leaves a small Aoe in the form of a wide bolt of lightning, and it's ranged.
