Wow, that's f ¥@#ed man. I agree press charges..tough love. Next time he may try that on some else who's packing, and that won't end well. Or he may be the one with the piece.
Hope you get your console back, and if it was a PS4, cheer up, they may be returning it to you any second now :)

A lot of people are saying to press charges. Many seem to think it's best for the situation.

Seriously bro, it sounds harsh, BUT better by you who can request he do rehab or something vs someone else who wants him locked up. Plus consequences of those actions need to be realized. If not your just enabling his actions and next time it may be a stranger with an out come much worse. God forbid hurting a kid or something walking with something of value. Bottom line, he stole from you. Tell him to get it back then if he wants slack and agree to check in or else turn him in. GL man..
