Yea, except that after he's convicted of felony burglary his life will essentially be over.

Chances are he probably already has prior convictions even if they are more minor things. As for his life being over that is simply not true. There are plenty of trades and careers people can have afterwards as long as they are truly reformed and honest about their past.
