[b]A huge tentacle erupts from the ground and rushes at you, but slows to a near stop. When you attempt to react, your movements are just as slow. You notice Providence had drawn his sword.[/b]
"I hope it's kicked in by now... Jack? You in there?"
[b]He is moving normal speed, and talking to you.[/b]
"So? Chop the tentacle off i guess."
[b]He chops through the tentacle, but it doesn't break, just leaves a frozen hologram in the chopping motion.[/b]
"Wait wait wait..."
[b]The hologram disappears and he motions shoving you aside, leaving a hologram doing that instead, then leaves a hologram to chop the tentacle.[/b]
"Okay... This should work."
[b]Time seems to jump as he jumps from point to point at lightening speed, performing the two actions shown by the holograms in order.[/b]
[b]You are shoved to the side and the tentacle is cut. Time returns to normal.[/b]

[b]He looks around, at the tentacle, province then himself.[/b] "What in the hell?"

"Did it work?"

"Yeah, I think so."

"Yeah my sword allows me to... How can I put it... Plan my actions. Takes a while to charge back up though. The injection will let you see me when I use it."

"Why did you want me to see it though?"

"Tactical advantage. Think about it, though you can't do anything during the time slow, I can tell you an elaborate plan in the blink of an eye. Much more useful against humans or in negotiations, but still useful down here."

"Ahh I see now. Makes sense."

"Anyway, I'd like to go before whatever that tentacle belonged to comes back."

[b]He starts walking.[/b] "I think i know where that damn thing came from."

[b]He follows.[/b] "Really? Enlighten me."

"The trials of water before I got here. I fought this really really big saw monster. I think it was kraken or something."
