I voted for toast, it just seemed like the most appropriate answer.

No one even knows what sweats mean... It's sad it doesn't get more recognition.

Voted toast

You forgot that it classifies as a gambling addiction

It can be either, it's hard to balance a PvP format that allows players to select their own weapons/classes. Even more so when a weapon's usefulness is often defined by the RNG perk rolls that are applied to them. The problem is that 'competitive' in most player's minds equates to balance. Which is hard to achieve with such a diverse selection of classes/weapons. Most players can agree there's still a fair bit of work to be done in future patches on this front, but it's certainly improving. As for the argument against supers, I don't think they reduce the competitive aspect. All of them can be countered, and the particularly mobile/lethal ones give off a clear warning sound that can help you anticipate the situation. For fast ones like FoH and Nova Bomb, just avoid close quarters and don't camp the heavy ammo spawns like many players do. Awareness is essential in all PvP situations to manage enemy supers and make the choice to run or gun.

You forgot to included addictive as crack :/

Edited by weirdboy99: 10/5/2015 8:41:21 AMDon't understand why players would want to play only competitive, most thought and effort have gone into cooperative PvE in this game. For players that want competitive there are better alternatives. PvP in this game is unbalanced, laggy and, because it lacks dedicated servers, its very easy to cheat. Worst part is that Bungie does not seem to realise that and PvP is a blight on the PvE part as a result of that. Why won't competitive players just go play CoD,BF,GoW or CS GO because it would hugely improve this game PvE wise. Edit:Almost forgot Halo.

When I have to play competitively, I do. Otherwise, casually. I screw around on level 36 strikes all the time tbh.
-
whats a sweaty ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Unless all players are forced to play with the same gear it cannot be considered competitive.
-
It depends...

Toast

Until Bungie stops and finally sits down to and decides to work on balance its will stay casual no matter how many people play competitively. The shit doesn't even have custom games.
-
I sweat
-
Move exotic hand canons to secondary slot and it will be casual

Edited by andrewbeastmode: 9/28/2015 3:07:46 AMDestiny isn't competition competitive but there's games where skilled players get in a lobby and it's a competitive match. Destiny needs private games :,(

New raid mechanics and everyone dropping out of heroic strikes has killed it for the casual base that relied on random teams. Trying to do the raid with randoms is terrible. It can be done but it can take forever to get people familiar with their roles. Plus down time while waiting for someone that had to deal with real life stuff. It's worse than what VoG use to be. Week 2 and there's already crazy reqs to join a raid team.

Destiny being competitive? Maybe in year 10 when they add customs
-
I'm kinda sweaty
-
Competitive? No. Too much no skill things in the game to be competitive.
-
With Fist of Panic in the game, it cannot be competitive. Therefore, I also play it casually.
-
There's no such thing as competitive pvp in Destiny
-
I'm not competitive unless it's trials. Also I grind a lot (like 4-5 hours a day) but I don't think that counts as competitive
-
Oh please. Destiny can't be competitive with everyone hiding in corners until they have a super then they pop out like they're good throwing their 6 aim assist hammers, 4 golden gun shots, fist of panic, shadowshot, panic nova bomb on that guy who turned the corner to fast with a level 1 auto rifle. After they use their super they promptly return to their corner. Can't be competitive when that's the game you made.

Destiny does a lot for the casuals and some for the hardcore players. I play competitively and do lots of raids so...
