Five warlocks stood around a table. Ikora Rey led the meeting. Out of the other four warlocks, Feykir Skons stood at the end of the table. He, like everyone else, was a high scholar.
"A raid team went down into the pit and killed Crota. Now, Eris Morn is convinced that Oryx is coming. We have tried to crack the Hive mysteries from Toland's journal, but, nothing!" Ikora slammed her hands on the table.
"There is a problem. I want to study the Hive arcana as much as.. Toland, but the titans might be the answer! Oryx! A Hive god! We can fight but there is no chance, but we can stay back and guard the City!" one warlock wearing a full New Monarchy suit was fixed on the idea that the darkness could not be defeated.
"Have faith! There is no physical darkness, just the absence of light! Maybe we can't defeat the Hive, the darkness, all we need to do is setup a beach head and hold it!" A sunsinger warlock began arguing with the New Monarchy representative.
"Are you trying to sound mystical?! Oh! You're right! Darkness, just the absence of light." The representative used his force push and blew out all the candles on the table. The room became dark and still. "All Oryx has to do is send the storm that wipes out the light." He continued.
The sunsinger snapped his fingers and a small flame sparked. He lit the candles then extinguished the flame. "See that? That spark represents our apprentices. We may not be strong enough, but we teach. We teach our students what we learned from our mistakes."
Feykir walked away from the table. His elegant but feared, black and purple trench coat dragged across the ground behind him.
"Feykir. Where are you going?" asked Ikora.
Feykir stopped. "I am going to do some research."
Feykir walked towards the door then looked down. He saw Ikora's famous Invective. He looked back to see if anyone was watching. Feykir picked up the shotgun and left.
"Warlock, there's a meeting isn't there?" asked Amanda Holiday as she typed on her tablet preparing Feykir's ship.
"Yes, there is. Five people talking all at once, the air was getting stale," Feykir tossed the Invective in the cockpit then he sat down. He flew out of the hangar then left the atmosphere.
Feykir flew to Venus in search of the Vex.
"What are we doing here?" asked the ghost.
"The Vex have a dimensional transport system. If I match it with the void, I could possibly travel through the void, though dimensions. I could learn what no warlock could learn before," Feykir flipped some switches and started descending into Venus' atmosphere. His ship flew over a landing zone and dropped them off.
"Ghost, point me in the direction of the Vault of Glass. The Vex will be very active there," Feykir summoned his sparrow and followed the markers. After an hour of driving, they passed the Citadel.
"We are about a mile from the Vault of Glass, Sir," his ghost put up three more beacons to lead the way.
The Vault of Glass was crawling with Vex. Vex everywhere!
"Can you track them?!" asked Feykir.
"What do you mean?" the ghost was confused.
"When the Vex drop from the clouds! Can you track them?" asked Feykir once again.
"Oh! Yes! Yes I can. In fact, we've caught their attention. Wait, I am detecting several.. They are surrounding us!" cried the ghost.
The iconic storm clouds of the Vex formed a ring around them. Like the ghost said, they were surrounded and dangerously out numbered. Feykir grabbed the stolen Invective and charged into the Vex as they dropped.
"Ghost, I'm going to have to defend us, but I need a live Vex for my experiment. I need you to scan the next Vex that drops so we can transmat it to our makeshift jail cell back home," Feykir spun around in circles trying to keep the Vex off of them. The next Vex to drop was a minotaur.
"It will work!" shouted Feykir as he threw his ghost to it.
The ghost quickly scanned it and turned it into basic computer codes.
"There you go, Sir. I hope our.. makeshift jail cell can hold this," said the ghost in a slightly frightened voice.
"Great! Let's go!" Feykir summoned his sparrow and took off! He speared three Vex in the process.
On the way home, Feykir and his ghost examined the Vex body.
"What do you know of it? I, have been able to crack even their simplest codes!" exclaimed Feykir.
"Well, the Vex do have the ability to travel through space and time. Sadly I think they time travel through the portals only, the clouds are only space travel so they could drop in on their enemies," the ghost scanned the body more.
"Well, add a little void in that equation, then, a new level of travel will be unlocked!" shouted Feykir in excitement.
"Sir, what are you making?" asked the ghost, scared.
"I will tell you when we get home. I set it to autopilot so I can rest," Feykir laid down on his bed then turned away from the ghost.
Once landing on the moon, Feykir summoned a sparrow. He drove to a secret base close to the Hell Mouth. The door swung open and the lights flickered on. The floor was covered in Vex parts and the walls were covered in weird Hive rock stuff.
"Home, sweet home," sighed Feykir.
Feykir put a pair of boots on a table as he sat down.
"Where are those jumper cables? Um, no. That's not it. Ah! There we go." After finding the jumper cables, he hooked one end to the Vex minotaur, then he hooked the other end to the boots. The cables sent the Vex's ability travel through space to the boots.(Really awesome jumper cables... don't judge)
As he "charged" the boots with Vex power, he put his hands on either sides of the boots, and fused them with the chilling void. The void and the Vex energy merging in the boots caused a large but nonlethal explosion.
All the smoke in the room cleared, bit the boots were gone. Feykir looked around the room frantically for those boots! Those were his ticket to studying the universe from a different dimension.
"What, is that? Well, that is new." Feykir looked back at the table to see a black and purple smoke. No boots, at least they didn't look like boots. He put them on the floor and stepped inside them. The void fire and smoke engulfed his legs.
"Whoa! I.. I can feel the power take me!" shouted Feykir. He calmed down and started to meditate. Soon, the world around him.. vanished! Feykir entered a new world.
In this new world, a voice detected his presence. "Guardian, you have come before me, to give me your will!"
"Ahh! Ahh! Ahhhhh!" Feykir screamed in agony! He couldn't stop what came next! Finally, he faded back into this dimension.
"Feykir! Feykir! What happened?! What did you see?!" shouted his ghost, scared.
"I saw, hope. I saw a new king," the figure standing there answered for Feykir, but that wasn't Feykir.
The figure glew a bluish blackish color, but his black and purple trench coat hid that. The figure also had a deeper, clearer, more menacing voice.
