Sounds like this:
- More Americans are keeping their money. I would rather we keep our money and decide what to do with it, than send it to Washington and have them corrupt it and piss it away.
- Too much fuss going on about the rich having a 25% rate, from the current 39.6%
but in all reality, none of the rich pay 39.6% - they use a team of people and use every loophole and deduction and trick they can. plus, would you rather Washington have 40% of the businessmen's money? Or should the businessmen keep more and use it for more business opportunities, and thus a stronger economy?
- This is such a simple tax plan that anyone can do it by themselves. Families making under $50k/year would pay no taxes. That is a very big chunk of the immigrant and minority communities.
- Small business owners would receive a special rate of 15%, which is half of what it is now.
Sounds like Trump has won the vote of immigrant/minority communities.

The tax plan of a real president. All Republicans should be very enthusiastic about this plan and vote for him.

I'd be into it however he does not address how he's going to compensate for the deficit while lowering taxes. I'm not the smartest guy in the room but it is not mathematically possible.
i am the smartest guy in the room
Edited by Britton: 9/28/2015 11:33:48 PMOne big issue is he wants to do this while simultaneously increasing military spending. Which means cuts to things like education, and more national debt. Make America more in debt again! Also, this is more of the failed trickle down economics idea. The rich dont need more tax breaks, they already make record profits. If they're the real "job creators" where are the jobs? I like the plan when it comes to lower income families, but he's essentially throwing table scraps to the masses while he cuts himself a huge piece of steak. The major issue we face isn't tax rates, yes paying less is nice but I'd rather have strong infrastructure, education systems, medical care (which he's somehow supposed to fix with trillions less in federal income), etc than more money that's spent before I get it. The major we issue we face is a lack of good wage jobs. Americas manufacturing needs a shot in the arm, its been bleeding out overseas for decades and Trump is just as guilty of it as anyone else. I trust actions, not words. Trumps past actions show that he's just as much a part of the problem as anyone, and this tax plan cements that. Cutting himself and his rich buddies a bigger paycheck, while everyone else is supposed to be thrilled about a few bucks a week. All while we watch necessary government functions get gutted, debt increase, and our foreign involvement increase. Yayyyyyy......

Yeha you americans do realise he's literally running for president to increase his portfolio right?
-
His plan is a short-sighted populist plea that would bankrupt America even faster. Its a bad idea.
-
Over 50% not having to pay taxes? Surely that's a sure fire way to -blam!- over the economy in the long run.
-
Will he also reduce health & welfare spending? If not, pure fantasy.

This plan, as appealing as some aspects are, would cost America dearly. Cutting that much taxes would grow both the yearly deficit and debt. Bush's tax cut for the wealthy was down to 28%. Trumps wants to go further to 25%. This means our current debt will only be added to instead of reduced because no matter how many programs you cut, the cost will not be offset. The plan is also aimed towards the ignorant and feeble minded. A tax form called "I win" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Edited by DB5: 9/28/2015 9:40:42 PMHas he unveiled the full plan yet or just offered snippets? I will say I'm intrigued by it, though I'd like to read the whole thing first before forming an opinion. Edit: somehow missed that there was a link at the top. Interesting.
