I think you miss my point, which is that everything at the end of the day is pointless in terms of progression. Even life. The value is found in the time and enjoyment you get out of it, not what you have accomplished at the end of it. Because in essence all you really gain from a game is a few pounds, a slight vitamin d deficiency and the enjoyment you got from it while playing. In regards to the type of game, I think Destiny has a bit of an identity crisis. You say it's an FPS first and foremost but frankly I think it has far more in common with something like WoW than cod. The only FPS aspect is the format, virtually everything else is different than the other FPS competitors it has. I know they don't like to call it that but I think it's about time people accept it for what it is
