Golgoroth EASY STRAT
If you're having trouble with this fight, stop making it more complicated and chaotic than it needs to be and try this strategy.

In this video 4 of the players walked into golgoroths lair for the first time 10 mins before we recorded this victory, and 2 were below 290 light.
I've taken many new players through the raid, and a lot of them say they have trouble with Golgoroth, but not with this strategy.
Have 2 people on the gaze, one either side, but only fire on the big ugly guy when the gaze goes to the left guy.
There is plenty of time, because the 10-20 seconds while the gaze is on the right guy is used to position yourself properly, destroy the orb, reload all weapons etc.
We rarely see the enrage timer, even with multiple sub 290 players.
This slows down the fight into manageable pieces, and maximizes DPS
Please bump this up if you like the strat, because it would be nice if a few more randoms would know this as apposed to the chaotic 'left right' strat or the time wasting 'one orb' strat.

By 'easy' I mean 'anyone can do it'
Some people can't do the one orb strat because they lack the dps.
If the one orb strat works for you, then carry on, and why are you looking up strats?
If you hit enrage on the one orb strat, this will work for you. [b]This requires less DPS than the one orb strat[/b]

2 RepliesThere's a strat where you use one person for gaze and it's less hectic. It involves you constantly using the same orb to do damage. Step one: Kill adds. Step two: Have 2 people go to opposite sides of the boss. Person A will shoot his legs to turn his back on Person B. Person B will take his gaze every time. Step three: Find an orb you will always use. Your 4 other teammates will break that orb, then Person B will take his gaze when standing behind it. Step four: All 5 other teammates will do damage for the 20 seconds or however long it is. DO NOT ROTATE HIS GAZE. Step five: After you do damage, you'll intentionally lose his gaze. He will then spawn adds, so kill them again. Step six: Repeat steps 2-5 until dead. He enrages after like 6 uses of this method. If your teammates have weapons strong enough(like 290+ snipers or any raid weapons) you'll finish either before or during his enrage phase. [b]BIG NOTE[/b]: At 25% health Taken will constantly spawn and you will have to switch to different orbs like the normal strat, so make either Person A or Person B the dedicated Taken slayer for the group. If your gaze-runner is good enough, he should be able to kill adds while shooting the orbs the boss shoots at them. This is usually an easier method, because you'll only need to rotate orbs for the last 25% of his health, instead of for the whole fight.

1 ReplyTerrible, just do it the right way... 2 gazers that can actually stand their ground and shoot his face before the purple bubbles even come at you, count timer and they switch. One left and one right like you had it but the people in the mid start shooting the next orb at 5 and the next gazer takes it anywhwere in the 3.2.1. Area.. 6 orbs and you do it again. 2 rounds if you know what's up and 3 if needed... Not hard. I see what you did here but the cheese as we call it is easier then this.. fudge a paragraph lol

We use this strat in my groups and it usually goes off without a hitch. The only problem we ever run into is the gaze guy not killing the orbs but that's a different story.

Dude I'm 301. I've done 60% of the raid so far. I need to do golgoroth so if u have room Pop me an inv. I'm getting frustrated at the amount of posts I'm putting on looking for people to run with. Same old story. Must be mlg and have emblem ect ect !!!! Driving me nuts. I'm on xb1
