I recently got the arc edge sword from shax and thought hey, can't I just move it to my Titan to level it up to 296 and then move it back to my warlock to get the quest faster? Well I did it and when I checked at the tower as my warlock with the sword maxed out and at level 296 there was no quest to do....how can I fix this to get the quest please help

I did the same thing....leveled up two swords on one character now I can't get the quest on the original character and I will be out one exotic sword ....please fix bungie I love the swords I want them all this is terrible!

Which ever character the sword is on when upgrade past 280 light with all 5 perks done is the character the quest sword reforged becomes available on, and if by chance you already finished a sword quest on that character it skips the first couple of steps and goes straight to the rare materials collection part....

having almost the exact same problem switched my arc sword to my hunter its at 297 and maxed out put it back on my warlock and no quest

I'm pretty sure Bungie won't reply to/fix this as it's more than likely not what they intended for the sword quest (maybe not). From my understanding, you have to fill out the bubble tree to max ON the character that has already completed the exotic quest once. Don't complete it fully on another character then move it.

Im in the same boat as well used my sword of my titan on my hunter and when i put it back on my titan my exotic quest was gone please help bungie i really want the solar exotic sword for my titan how can i get the sword reforge quest back

I'm having the exact same problem. Moved my sword onto another player temporarily and now it won't give me the sword reforged quest. Please advise on how to fix ASAP.

They have to be upgraded fully before the quest will proc.
