Bungie has always listened to its players and while I have always agreed with most of their balancing decisions, myself and my fireteam mates all feel they have made a small error in the cost of upgrading an exotic from year one. We worked hard. Ground away. Played in some cases thousands of hours to get these weapons to drop. Now not only are they basically worthless, we are forced to grind away again to make those same rewards viable in the game again.
If you want to upgrade your exotics it costs 150 legendary marks. At first we all thought "Oh that's not too bad", but now after a couple of weeks of grinding away trying to get light levels high enough to enable you to be able to even play end game content, we realize we have not been able to accumulate enough legendary marks to upgrade even a single year one exotic.
So those of us who think Bungie should either:
1. Make legendary marks easier to aquire.
Or
2. Lower the cost of upgrading year one exotics.
Please chime in here. And if you have other ideas for how this could be achieved, feel free to add those comments.
Edit:
So after reading all the many responses I have seen the other side of this issue. More play time equals more marks. I have gotten some good advice on how to get Marks as quickly as possible. Thanks everyone for participating. It seems my issue is simply lack of available play time. I suppose I just need to accept that it will take me a lot longer in actual calendar time than people with more free time. The Three of Coins is becoming a lot more attractive.

I used to share your opinion, but after playing TTK and seeing the new weapons I'm fine with just using them. If a particular exotic makes sense for me to spend the marks on I'll do it, like I did to get Truth. It took me a little over a week to get the 150 marks, so not too bad. I can see what Bungie was thinking though as they didn't want everyone to buy all the exotics within the first month of TTK launching. Could obtaining marks be a bit easier to do each week, sure, but at least this way it'll end up extending the game while we wait for D2.
