Did you also kill all of the adds? You need to make sure that nothing is left alive in the room apart from you guardians.
Once you get the boss down, run around and keep an eye on your radar for any red.
If any taken are left alive on the ship when the counter reaches zero, the mission ends as a failure.

Edited by Espresso: 10/1/2015 1:52:14 AMtheir were no taken adds on the ship. we've killed every taken enemie that we saw on our radar only the three of us! it said mission complete (15 legendary marks) and no exotic sniper!!!

No grimoire card unlocked? I got the animation at the bottom of the screen while playing even though there is no actual grimoire card. I had to go to the postmaster to collect mine because my slots were full.
