Sword Reforged quest not popping up
I recently got my second legendary sword on one of my secondary characters.
I know to get the next quest it must be infused to 280 light and fully upgraded, so I transferred it to my primary character with all my most powerful weapons to infuse it with and used motes of light to upgrade it fully, to the point where its 295 with all perks.
When I gave it back to my secondary character, no quest popped up. Ive tried completing story quests and switching it in and out of my inventory with no luck. I'd rather not have to delete my character to overcome this gameplay fluke.
Note: I'm still level 0 with the crucible handler but I haven't found any information that say's that's a factor. please help.

I HAVE THE ANSWER!!! you need to upgrade the legendary version of the sword fully before you can unlock the quest. I did it and it popped for me. happy hunting

I'm having the same issue; I transferred my void sword to my hunter in order to upgrade it, and when I have it back to the warlock (which originally I acquired it from), the quest won't pop up from lord shaxx :/

Edited by D-TaterZ: 10/2/2015 1:08:13 PMglad im not the only one lol..yesterday I leveled up the sword on my third character and got the quest immediately. so it looks like you have to have the sword EQUIPPED on your character when you activate the last perk to get the quest..I think its fair to say that this is a glitch right? or at least something people should be made aware of...

I'm not even able to get the sword quest. Yes I've done everything to get it, but it won't show up. I think I'm having the same problem as you not being able to get a quest to show up.

Same here I'm crucible level 7 with a 296 sword and I had this sword fully upgraded over 2 weeks at the same level and still ain't nothen so I'm doing the remains of the crucible quest and see why happens

Same problem here, now on two legendary swords; 280+ and all nodes upgrade. Shaax does not want to talk to me😟. Please help Bungie!!!!

I've heard you get it at the weekly reset. I'm not sure how true that is though.
