Simple enough. The big fatass Omolon scout rifles are just obtrusively large. They take up way too much of the FOV/screen.
I seriously have had enemies I did not see because of it approach me and stab me in the forehead because I COULD NOT SEE THEM.
It has got to be addressed. I can't be the only one who thinks this is an issue. Until then it's really a hassle to use them.
To clarify, I'm referring to the ones such as the Dead Orbit one. The one like the exclusive Warlock are fine.
Fix it, or let us customize what our gear looks like. I mean, the Dead Orbit scout is so good, but oh my god I hate the look and size of it so much I can't bring myself to use it until this FOV is fixed.
I'd do anything to be able to reroll the Arms Day (same model as Warlock's) one and waste 900 motes and weapons parts just so it could be almost as good as the Dead Orbit variety.
Anyway, ^ that.

I agree with this.

Large? No. Bright (when in highly lit areas)? Yes.

I have been playing FPS games for a very long time, since Counter Strike beta, and I have never experienced a FPS FoV like this. The view feels constricted. I have trouble finding close quarter targets because I snap to view the right and see nothing, then snap back left to see nothing, only to realize they were on my right the entire time. You could simply say "just look further to the right". Yeah you could say that, but when I have been so accustomed to looking effectively in a direction by the same stick movement for such a long time on a variety of FPS games it is not easy to adjust. As a result, certain weapons become larger on the screen as Frabjous Hunter stated. Some of the helmets in game remind me of paintball mask. That being said, when I wear my paintball mask I have a lot more FoV than compared to the in game FoV. I understand that a helmet limits visibility and maybe that was the idea, to create more realism, but it actually feels less realistic. I love Destiny and the limited FoV is my only complaint. I love the PvP aspects of a FPS but I rarely play PvP on Destiny because of the limited FoV. I hope this is something that Bungie is considering adjusting.

Hello, Thanks for sharing ideas like this. Bungie wants to see this stuff, so I'm moving it to #Feedback where it can be seen.

Edited by KannibalKlown: 10/1/2015 5:17:29 PMI have to agree They cut off too much of the bottom-right corner. I love the performance of my Hung Jury and it looks sleek, but it does use up a lot of the screen The bright side is I'm usually either sprinting, or scoped, so it doesn't bother me as much as others.
