I'm going to respectfully say no. At first I was in this camp but now I believe bungie made the right move.
1) the game is more fun without gally for me. Playing the bosses instead of spamming them is fun.
2) the new armor is far better than year 1. Better perks and more options.
3) it's been fun being forced to find new weapons, and as a result I think some of the new guns are great. I really don't miss fate bringer, vision of confluence or any the older guns. Mostly because I have replaced them with better or equal weapons (I know heresy).
I have a hand cannon with firefly.
I have a steady full auto scout that is great in pve and pvp.
I have very good snipers.
I mean, fine if it is important to you but honestly give the new guns a shot and you may make the same discoveries I have.
But seriously, year two armor is better. That's not even debatable.

It's not that we don't want to try the new stuff or we won't but people just want options. If I had a 280 gjallarhorn and a 280 fatebringer I would still be trying to play to get the sleeper simulant and the zhalo supercell. And I'd still use the new stuff, maybe even more than the old stuff. It's nice to have the option to shoot at a bullet sponge for 15 minutes or melt it like butter in 5. And before anybody says I'd use the gally or any old weapon as a crutch, I didn't get my first gjallarhorn till a couple weeks before the house of wolves. I never played the 35 Poe till after the taken King lol which I didn't use my old gjallarhorn at all. And I never excluded anyone. I was the guy that tried to help people get their exotics even if I didn't have them. I completely understand Bungie wants us to try the new material out and I will regardless of year 1s fate but I'd rather them not be left behind. At least the exotics and raid gear.

I just want options. I'll gladly try the new taken King content. I'm all about options. I try every gun that the game offers to me. If I had a 280 gjallarhorn I would still be trying to get the sleeper simulant and I'd use it just as much as the gjallarhorn maybe even more. I don't think everything should be infused but at least exotics and raid gear.

Oh, he's played it. He's an XB1 player, but someone gave him a code for TTK on PS4, so he started a fresh character on their to fully experience everything, again, for a post-2.0 experience. It might not be linked, but if you actually follow his posts, you'd know that he knows what he's talking about.

Gally is still strong, helped me get black spindle and my exotic sword. 50+ thousand kills and counting lol I know rocket abuse is bad

1) Thats just your opiniom and some of the others, other people still want to play old school, so instead of just choosing one why not choose both? They got nothing to lose, they instead will get more happier players, since for once Bungie decided to gave us a choice. 2) Of course its far better lol, it should be, thats what the year 1 beta test was for! So why was bungie scared of pitting them against year 1 gear again? Idk, beats me 3) Like i said only your opinions and some of the others, other can feel totally the other way around, why can't bungie just 2 sides happy instead of one, hell missing fatebringer lol, it already has a year 2 version only without the elemental damage, Vision of confluence? Lol full auto raid scout, but its good that theyre better though (or so i heard). As for me, well im slowly drifting away, kinda happy that im not playing destiny anymore, I might leave these forums soon.

Also, the weapons from the guns smith that we et during arms day have unique perks and style. As to elemental, I think it was clear with HOW elemental primaries have moved to a hard raid tier reward. I expect to see those weapons then. I think you guys are very negative, you expected failure and are a bit myopic in your approach to the game.

I was just pointing out that your "opinion" included that caveat that everyone else should [i]agree[/i] with you, which is ridiculous. And I haven't spent my own cash on TTK, but I've been researching it for months, and I've played it enough on friend's accounts to know that I'm not a fan. I've tasted Bungie's "Burger," and it's dry as shit. If Bungie allowed players to upgrade Year 1 gear, it would have exactly [i]ZERO[/i] effect on your choices, dude. My analogy (in which I've tried BOTH items, thank you) still stands, if you'd care to actually give me a counter-argument. Unless Bungie allows Year 1 gear to be infused, I won't buy TTK on [i]principle[/i]. I spent ~600hrs on Destiny grinding night after night for my favorite gear, worked my ass off for my full set of Adept Primaries, and seriously bought into the whole "Become Legend" mindset that I now know to be a joke. I'm not going to spend anouth 300-400hrs on a loot-based game where the loot DOESN'T HOLD ANY WORTH, and that's my end-all point.

You spend hours researching a video game? Research stocks and bonds for the same amount of time and make money. That's where your research hours should be spent. The games are like $50. That's like almost 0 dollars. Why research that? There is no payoff.

Again, you don't have the game. Try the new perks. You may like them. There are some real cool perks in the game and I have not seen a dps falloff. Look at my grimoire, my hours played and also know I have been here since beta. I only say that because it's not an uninformed opinion. That said, I only said I believe what they did was good. It forced us to try the new game and the new game is fun. The new weapons are so very different from the old. It's too numerous to describe. Like many games as you get new and better gear as you progress. I don't see what they did as unusual, I actually see what you guys are asking for as unusual. It's not the norm in a game. To conclude, get the game, play it and then you will have an informed opinion. I'm sorry, but that is an honest response. You still have not tried the hamburger.

I want to add this one more, to me , reasonable point. They seemed to have followed through on their promise to eliminate bullet sponge bosses. We no longer need a gally to blast these guys. I've done the all the raids and see this. I can take down the war priest in 3 attack runs. I can take down the ogre in a few minutes. We took out oryx in just 3 runs. It does compensate for the loss of gally, the only gun I used to miss.
