Should there be an exotic version of the Khvostov?

This was our first weapon in Destiny, and probably one of the most unique looking guns for it's time. Wouldn't it be awesome if we got an exotic version of this gun so that we can still use this amazing weapon! I think a lot of people will want this Bungie, so please make this a thing!
Edit: Yes, I know that the version I am showing is not the best way to make the exotic (the stats that is), it's just an example image I found on google that I thought had a cool aesthetic look to it.
Edit: Of the 400 replies in this thread, most of them are in favor of making the Khvostov have an exotic counterpart. I think Bungie needs to start on it now so that we may have it by the next DLC!
(Also Bungie, I would forgive you with microtransactions if you made all future DLC free, and added the Khvostov exotic.)

I feel like the Fabian Strategy (or whatever the titan weapon exotic is) is like an exotic version of the Kvostov

I still got it on my titan and won't get rid of it till they do make a better version of it lol they could always say the gun smith restored it to working order

I already had an idea for this, it would look exactly the same, but have better stats (especially stability IMO) but the exotic perk would be something like "golden age magazine" and it would regenerate ammo every minute or something like that. Auto rifles always seem to have a hard time with keeping ammo so that's a decent exotic perk to me

Iirc, there was something somewhere that said that the khovstov was supposed to have a exotic version that would make orbs from precision kills
