Yes, and a legendary version as well.
It should be a Gunsmith quest, and through the quest, it will provide you with a legendary version, and exotic version later. Also, depending on quest choices, you should be able to make it into a scout rifle, pulse rifle, or auto rifle, because although every player starts out with one, they don't all have the same playstyle.

The first couple of perks on the exotic version look like you can turn it into single/burst/auto with them stats that wouldn't be to bad there's a couple other confusing perks that obviously are drastic increases and decreases to stats I would love this gun
