Yes, and a legendary version as well. It should be a Gunsmith quest, and through the quest, it will provide you with a legendary version, and exotic version later. Also, depending on quest choices, you should be able to make it into a scout rifle, pulse rifle, or auto rifle, because although every player starts out with one, they don't all have the same playstyle.
