Should there be an exotic version of the Khvostov?

This was our first weapon in Destiny, and probably one of the most unique looking guns for it's time. Wouldn't it be awesome if we got an exotic version of this gun so that we can still use this amazing weapon! I think a lot of people will want this Bungie, so please make this a thing!
Edit: Yes, I know that the version I am showing is not the best way to make the exotic (the stats that is), it's just an example image I found on google that I thought had a cool aesthetic look to it.
Edit: Of the 400 replies in this thread, most of them are in favor of making the Khvostov have an exotic counterpart. I think Bungie needs to start on it now so that we may have it by the next DLC!
(Also Bungie, I would forgive you with microtransactions if you made all future DLC free, and added the Khvostov exotic.)

Common-uncommon-rare-legendary-exotic. This gun will be unbelievable if they make it. I think good fire rate, high impact, 30+ mag, great stability, good reload, and close-medium range. Exotic perk: Just Like Old Times Recovering from critical condition (red health bar) boosts fire rate, range, handling(stability and reload), and mag size. Cannot be stacked. Resets if damage is taken but you don't reach critical condition by the time you start to recover. When the ancestor is hurt, he will return stronger than before. Sounds badass right? [spoiler]help me with the exotic perk name. The Ancestor, or Legacy. I can't decide. Or something else entirely. Help me out guardians. Edit: I love Just Like Old Times.
