-
"Yeah. I guess you're right." She smiles.
-
He sits up and opens the black box inside lays a red silk cloth over something "Well, you did say you were looking for a third sword."
-
She looks at him in disbelief, letting him unwrap the sword.
-
"And because you were looking for one, I thought I could help with that and also have it as an apology gift." He removes the red silk cloth to reveal this sword.
-
Her breath catches in her throat, struggling for words as she lifts the sword out of the case. "It's...perfect." She looks at him. "where did you get this?"
-
"The Iron Mountain, where the legendary blacksmith works days and nights."
-
"Do I even want to know what you paid for this?"
-
He shakes his head and grins "Didn't cost me a single credit, really I had to go out and collect the materials he needed. They were set in the most dangerous places possible, that's why I was gone for three days."
-
She unsheathes the blade in awe, running her hands over the blade. "It's steel... Why would it take you three days to collect steel?"
-
"Steal gathered from the darkest of caves and coldest of winters, this steel has been aged for over 40 years, just perfectly. But this steel was found within obsidian, which makes it tougher than normal blades."
-
"I love it Etana." She kisses him and hugs him.
-
"Glad you do." He grins and kisses back, once she hugs him he winces softly in pain.
-
"Wait, what's wrong?"
-
"remember when I said dangerous places? Yeah I had to go around everywhere gathering the material, and I got roughed up a bit."
-
"By what? Let me see."
-
"First off the hard labor of deserting the obsidian to get to the steel mixed into the obsidian, it took a delicate hand. Seconded getting to Heavens woods which was on top of a mountain to make the handle, that was quite the journey up and down. And finally, just fighting off anything that stood in my way, bears, mountain lions, things like that." He takes his blazer and shirt off to reveal a bandage wrapped around his chest.
-
She raises her eyebrows and smiles. "I really love it."
-
"Glad, I knew it was worth my while." He sets his shirt and blazer aside and sits down
-
She stands up and takes a few experimental swings with the blade.
-
The blade glows a faint purple with each swing. It's a lot lighter than most as well but it feels powerful. "You know that isn't a normal blade right?"
-
"Besides the fact that its glowing purple? It feels light. And great."
-
"try to concentrate your aurora on the blade specially."
-
She swings the blade, tightening her grip on it and squinting her eyes, as the blade breaks into 15 small pieces, leaving the handle in her hand and the fragments on the floor. She looks shocked. "I.. I did not just break that. I did not."
-
He grins and looks at her and the shattered pieces "It's meant to do that." He plucks a pedal from a rose "Think of it this way, the movement and flow of pedal floating through air." He drops the rose pedal "It flows gently, delicately and gracefully. Try to focus once more"
