Edited by Kinda Red: 10/5/2015 11:31:18 AM
IMO I don't think this is a great idea, for a couple of reasons. I keep forgetting half of them before I get to typing so I'll just type up the two I remember... Hopefully these two will help plug potential problems or something.

People will be much more inclined to say "My character is better then yours because he/she is tier 3 and you're 2" and think they should always win against someone below their tier right? Also, some like the Felix/Kalameet combo would be kinda fuzzy to rate. Plus everyone wants the biggest stick, look at the growing amount of characters being upgraded to beat cobalt or have a second set of spartan armor on top of their other armor and then probably get a bigger one later. It'll make a goal, and that goal is tier 5 god mode.

There's one RP I keep hearing is strict with it's classes and stuff, and people don't seem to like that. Heard it was also the major failing of it, and it just limits creativity. So being strict or putting people into classes could limit creativity, push participants away, and just overall look bad like the other one did IMO. Might as well learn from it I guess. I'm pretty much totally opposed to the idea of putting people into semi-/rigid classes (In this case tiers) because of how it makes more problems then it's worth, but hopefully there's some way to plug the gaps.
