That's a two way street.

It can be but I have always loved both but by no stretch see halo ending up victorious simply because the Jedi could never bring themselves to end a civilization and the covenant alone would end all life if given the chance (which they would have with the halo rings) but also like order 66 there's only a handful of jedis and with left if we let time have its running
