There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
Honestly you don't have to buy them it's like buying skins for your guns on cod . You buy it if you like it for your gun . It doesn't mean you're locked out of content .
-
You don't know what "taking advantage" means.

Edited by Spaceman: 10/7/2015 12:02:52 AMI'm on the fence with this one. As long as they keep it for aesthetic purposes only, I don't care. Heck, I may even buy some stupid dance move. As long as nothing you buy has an impact on your performance and abilities, then I see no reason not to do it. There will always be someone buying something for anything, no matter what the cost.
-
Just love how you don't respond to the people with valid points.

Edited by The Godsmith: 10/7/2015 12:38:48 AMClearly there is a debate. And clearly your point is pretty weak.

I'd pay a monthly sub if all our endgame content was still relevant. You can keep your emotes bungie.
-
The game is awesome 1100 hrs later I'm still playing. I paid 60 bucks for Batman got 20hrs out of it. We are stealing from Bungie at this point taken king is worth alot more then 40 bucks. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Every game from now till the End of time will offer microtranctions. Its the business, an games cost millions. Just accept it... Free to play games are always an option over the next 10 years destiny will cost you 500 bucks or more so ask yourself is it worth it. If u can't stand microtranctions, priced dlc then maybe find another hobbie. Destiny is the best value in the history of videogames to me an I will gladly throw money at the screen.

Edited by Acropathy: 10/6/2015 11:58:39 PMGames can no longer sustain long periods without some sort of monthly cash flow. How else do you expect servers and game content to continue to come out? All in all its a business and at that a business that tries to cater to its gaming community as much as possible , but still trying to stay profitable . Conclusion : You really don't understand what's happening "f you’re not interested in what Tess has to offer, you won’t ever be forced to pluck an item off of her shelf. You’ll still receive updates to the game, and you won’t lose a Crucible encounter or fail to clear a Raid because you didn’t have the right Eververse Trading Company emote equipped." You can not read. And you are a jackass. Plus free dlc for people buying shaders etc. I bet if it was in game since day 1 from the vanilla version you would not say a word, how could you it was already there. Just think of it like this Instead of paying for the newest strikes raid and missions you Will get them free now you have money to customize your character to your liking So shut the -blam!- up and stop bitching
-
I started counting how many times OP replied to someone with "you don't get it" but I stopped when I realized he's said it over 100 -blam!-ing times. Anyone else see the problem with that?
-
Op brings up good points

Edited by Healingwave: 10/6/2015 11:55:39 PMNone of these brainwashed fanboys are ever going to understand where this can go because they're codfags and haven't played an actual MMO. 1. They added a kiosk for just emotes when we already have a screen for additional DLC. 2. They made a new currency JUST FOR EMOTES. See where I'm going with this? Both of these steps aren't necessary, but they are necessary IF THEY PLAN ON EXPANDING ON THIS VENTURE. Only a tool would believe it's not going to get worse.
-
This. Also, $100 game.
-
Edited by Wülf: 10/6/2015 11:56:35 PMIt's for emotes, relax. Besides you're already doing macro-transactions for dlc every couple of months with destiny. By now everyone knows destiny is a $ grab. I don't mind giving my $ because I enjoy the game.
-
If I hand you a pipe its up to you if you take a hit or put it down.
-
Unless it becomes required to play (like how TTK & all previous DLC have been) then I don't see this as becoming an issue, or even being on the chopping block of issues right now. No one is being taken advantage of, because ultimately at the end of the day it's your money, your information and your choice to buy these.
-
With a premise like that (it doesn't matter), it's hard to take you seriously.
-
It's not about taking advantage of people, such a mindset is ludicrous. It's about taking advantage of a potential market. If you want extra flair, pull some jingle from your pockets. I'm amazed at the level this is getting negative push back.
-
So far I have spent a total of $135 on this game. Lol
-
Yeah. Preach on brother!!! If I spend $60 on a game. I don't just want everything on that game. I want everything they could ever ADD to it as well. And I think because I bought this game. I should get the t-shirts in the bungie store for free too. Because they say destiny on them. And I bought destiny so they should be mine
-
THIS A 140$ GAME FOR LOYAL PEOPLE
-
Edited by josh83USMC: 10/6/2015 11:45:52 PMHow is a company taking advantage of people. THEY CAN'T PHYSICALLY TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF THEIR ACCOUNTS AND PURCHASE THESE OPTIONS for them. For f sake! Blames a company for offering options that cost.. says company is taking advantage.. Is a complete idiot.
-
This is an opinion and nothing but. Please don't act like this is unchallenged fact.

The majority of popular games has micro transactions now
