There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
It's the way the industry is going now. Would you prefer a monthly sub fee? It will be a huge asset for the game.
-
This community literally needs to shut the fuck up. Seriously, if you goddamn people do this much bitching and moaning online about a video game, I can't even begin to imagine what miserable fucking losers you are in the real world. Every post is whining -- it's pathetic.

Edited by GoofyMacaroon: 10/6/2015 9:33:36 PMYou understand these are all brand new emotes that have never been in the game files so they were never blocked by a dlc pay wall so having to pay for them now is completely Legitimate... Or are you salty you won't be able to purchase a dance for whatever reason? They are part of a collection for people who love the world of destiny, nothing more.
-
Agreed. Next it'll be shaders and emblems, "Won't effect your gameplay." Lol
-
I'm going to be mean and say that your post is dumb as -blam!-. 1. This can't take advantage of people because it is OPTIONAL. 2. You are upset that content is locked off even though you dropped $60. Well that goes for mostly every MMO out there subscription or not. 3. Boy they are just -blam!-ing emotes that you can probably preview and then select your favorite one with the free silver they are giving out to EVERY PLAYER.
-
Edited by CarpentryHero: 10/6/2015 8:18:03 PMThe micro transactions are for "emotes" When has that ever helped you in game? If it keeps the cost of server maint, updates and DLC down, why would you be against optional "cosmetic" items ? If enough people throw money at the screen your next DLC could be free. The reason why Bungie is considering this is with all the changes that came with TTK, Destiny is heading the route of MMORPG business practices. Those options are either subscription fees (which our every three to four month DLC kind of is) or micro transactions. Obviously Bungie is testing the waters, vote with your wallet
-
*whispers* Portal 2 had cosmetic micro transactions.
-
In or Is?
-
you -blam!-ing swine. you broke piece of shit. why don't you go cry to your mommy and complain to her why you can't afford a little silver so she has to buy some for you like she's been doing your whole life. -blam!-ing pussy. get off these forums and lemme see you face to face I'll -blam!- you up ngga.
-
Taking advantage of? Are you mentally impaired? Is Bungie reaching into your wallets and pulling out money? Are they selling something to people that'll give them an upper hand over you? What's that, they're not? Oh, then pull up your big boy pants and grow up
-
Boy just wants to dance but doesn't want to pay for dance lessons.
-
$120+* fixed it for you
-
^This. Bungie read it.
-
"Don't belong is $60 games" Or you could edit it and put "Don't belong in $60 games" <~~~~Much better
-
I don't follow your reasoning.
-
You don't heave to buy them. Nuff said.
-
Edited by Un1337ninj4: 10/6/2015 8:50:20 PMThey don't belong in a 60 USD game that isn't always online with frequent patches and updates, consistent dev time on a game that's already released, and a whole other host of financial add-ons Bungie took to make this game to be more in-line to an MMO-lite (as it isn't an MMO, but carries many of the same features that cost quite a bit). But Bungie pays both Microsoft and Sony to push a new version of the game live. This is going to fund that and allegedly future content released for free too: http://kotaku.com/new-destiny-leak-could-show-whats-coming-next-1677142988

Edited by A KOOL POP TART: 10/6/2015 8:23:25 PMWhat part of "These items are only cosmetic. They will not affect you in crucible or how well you preform in a raid" do people like you not understand? In the event you are coming on and just looking at posts, allow me to link the post, as well as the kotaku article on this subject: http://kotaku.com/sources-destiny-will-get-paid-cosmetic-dlc-and-free-ne-1734800399 https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=13672 Free Story and Quest content. FREE! The next major investment is going to be Destiny 2, which will be $60.
-
Even when battle field and cod did this I still wrecked ass. Not even tripping
-
For those saying that they don't believe the future DLC could be free because of microtransactions, of course we don't know right now, and neither does Bungie. It all depends on who spends money on Silver and how much they make from it. If they make enough money to fulfill the budget for a TDB sized DLC, then guess what, the quota for profit has already been met. These are cosmetic items, just like the dances you get from TTK CE.
-
Taking advantage? It's optional emotes. This post is bait.
-
Emotes don't do anything to the game lol
-
The emotes weren't cut from the base game they're made post launch. They still need money to support the game they can't just pay to make the game then upkeep it for free.
-
Saves me money. Take advantage of the scrubs who have enough dough and vanity to want to buy these emotes. Just charge me less for DLC and crap if you are squeezing the suckers dry.
-
This is what's sad. In 6 months, they'll make another limited edition ps4, and let future buyers get all dlcs and emotes for $60
-
I agree, the emotes should be drops or in game activity rewards. I can see where Hactivision sees this as a business opportunity but I think it's a bit too much. It certainly isn't pay to win but I wouldn't put it past them.
