There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
They're doing it to make free content for you you idiot. People who care about cosmetics will buy these and fund free content. You don't want free content?
-
Edited by k0nk1n: 10/6/2015 7:47:13 PM60 dollars is taking advantage of the developers and Thier families... this game in all reality has extremely high value because it really is better than 99.9999 percent of 60 dollar games.. let's just be honest .. let's just be real....... Edit: shove it up you're ass
-
No change to the game what so ever they do nothing to enhance gameplay and aren't mandatory so stop complaining
-
-
Do me a favor go work a week for free and come back and tell me how you feel.
-
You don't need to buy it and as long as they don't sell any gear that impacts gameplay I am on with it. And think of it this way when you see someone that has paid stuff, they are paying bungie for more updates and better service. You need to think that people working on updates get paid and bungie needs to keep a whole staff for those updates. On typical mmos they either charge a subscription or paid items to be able to keep the company afloat. Don't t wine like a little kid because of this. It is either this it subscription
-
You don't think the time the animators and developers spent creating these emotes is worth anything?
-
They're not taking advantage of anyone, the stupidness on the forums seems to be extra high today.
-
So to summarize, you think you deserve free shit... because why?
-
If they're cheap enough it could work but, they need to lower the prices of dlc or give them for free if they' decided to put micro-transactions. Especially more than just emotes. Maybe put a few guns we can only obtain through the new in-game currency "silver", armour, ships? Something more than just emotes, that system could turn a bigger profit then dlc.
-
That's like saying Nintendo is forcing people to buy amiibos for smash bros 4 or selling characters, maps separately as micro transactions and is taking advantage of them. When in actuality it's not. They're just putting something on the table and seeing who would buy it. It's optional. They're not forcing you to buy the emotes. It doesn't even effect anything. Stop complaining.
-
What you fail to mention is how instead of 2 large DLCs that we have to pay for, they're going to give us more smaller DLCs for free. Sure, non-game-affecting micro transactions are a little different, but I think you should take your hater-shades off and see all the awesome stuff they're doing for us too.
-
THEY ARE GIVING US FREE UPDATES FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR
-
Technically, for year two players, it's an 80$ game. For years one players, it's a $140 game. Also, these don't impact gameplay at all. It better stay that way.
-
Um micro transactions are in almost all buy to play games. I think someone has never ventured into the world of mmos

Hasn't Destiny made Bungie enough money yet?
-
It happens in a lot, and I do mean A LOT of games buddy. Chill, it's only a dance.
-
This game has reached a new f*cking low
-
Bye then. As long as they start giving us more content etc .. surprise us with nice extra content. Not meaningless emotes, shaders or emblems. I mean decent extra content. Then yea, it will be a great thing.

Edited by Deterrentnine: 10/6/2015 9:29:12 PMThats just like saying you bought a burger from a fast food place and you didnt get any fries, but someone else paid more and got them. You weren't "Locked out" of the fries, you just chose not to buy something extra. You are by no means entitled to anything. Edit: Also Borderlands 2...no one complained about the headhunter packs, and it certainly didn't ruin it. and also, Don't reply unless you can come up with an educated response.
-
I hope to god they make these also obtainable via quest lines. It'll be hilarious. I'll spend $20 on all of them in 5 minutes and you'll spend days unlocking them only to realize your job at McDonald's would have paid you $200 in that amount of time but instead you were crying and grinding to get them essentially paying more money for them and also not supporting a game that you clearly can't get enough of. Mooooorrrrrrrrrooooonnnnnsssss
-
They are only taking advantage of people who buy it..... And that's not taking advantage. It's selling a customer something that they want. Shush. Would you cry if your friend got their car repainted and you have the same car but don't want to pay to get it painted. "I already bought a car that comes with paint. I shouldn't have to pay to change it" it's cosmetic stuff. It will effect you none if you don't buy it, other than jealousy when you see me doing the thriller or the dougie and you can't.
-
Call of Duty. Thats all i'm sayin'
-
I will enjoy spamming my emotes in front of you
-
The idea is we front the bill for updates for you so you don't have too... you're welcome.
-
Taking advantage when it's their choice? Lol did your mom buy destiny for you but won't let you get some emotes now? Piss off
