There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
If you were being forced to pay to unlock content you already paid for then I would see your point.
-
*Cough* ADVANCED WARFARE *Cough*
-
I guess WoW is a crime against humanity?
-
Ill buy a bit more silver in your memory.
-
Don't like them? Don't buy them. They also help pay for the FREE additions to the game. GTA V does the same thing, but you don't have to buy it
-
The idea is buy emotes, and get the DLCs free. So you still get the next DLC content if you don't pay, which is actually better for people short of money.
-
Don't buy them. Its really that simple. I bet you will though.
-
-Gears of war 3 and ultimate editon, you can buy weapon skins -call of duty, you can buy weapon skins and different looking gear -gta5 online, you buy bullshark cards for in game money Etc, etc, etc This is the way destiny is doing that, no big deal. If you don't want them, then don't waste your money. If they start throwing in weapons, armor and crap like that, then it'd be kind of crappy.
-
Ill buy a bit more silver in your memory.

If you have ever read their contract that they signed with Activision they are contractually obligated to explore microtransactions. This is the best way for them to meet said obligation.
-
Use the path of exile model
-
He's right micro transactions don't belong in $60 games. Once these micro transaction are announced it usually means that the company is greedy and wants more money, they said it will improve the game but it won't it's all lies
-
normally I'd agree, but if Kotaku is right and the money goes to funding free DLC for everyone then I'm pretty okay with that. Just don't sell power, cosmetics only Bungie
-
You paid for access to the amusement park, you don't get the concessions for free.
-
There's no justification for it.(Yes there is, making money.) Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me. (It's blocked for everyone, you're not special) It doesn't matter what items your selling.(Yes it does) It doesn't matter how cheap they are. (Again, yes it does) You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong.(They're not, and it isn't, just business) It's not a debate.(It is, you made a thread, we debate.)
You forgot something. "It's optional" I've seen this before in other mmo games. It is fine when it's a cosmetic item. But if it involves OP weps then FK NO!
-
World of Warcraft says hi. $50 up front, $10 ish a month, PLUS micro transactions. Too bad that game is an utter failure......
-
What are you even mad about?? They don't affect the game, wont prevent you from doing anything, don't hinder your game in any way whatsoever, their completely optional.
i swear people are just looking for things to be mad about
-
No one is forcing you to play. Nut up or shut up. It's like -blam!-ing ten dollars. Oh and it's OPTIONAL....
-
But cod has it
-
Yeah! $40 expansions do!
-
Call of Duty has had microtransactions for years for cosmetic call signs and camos that don't affect the play of the game whatsoever... what's the problem here? You'd swear that for half the people on the forums, Destiny is the first online game they've ever played...
-
Choose 1, you cant have both A) paying for dlc to continue playing -or- B) microtransactions that you dont have to purchase. They announced free dlc til fall 2016 yet people are crying over emotes. Shows their lack of brains
-
But 20$ and 40$ dlc are fine? Lol
-
They belong in mmo's.
-
Maybe dedicated players will get silvers monthly.
