There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
You obviously didn't hear about the PC release of ESO.
-
Oh you sweet summer child
-
Running a company cost money. For all you saying activation gave them 500mil that's for All 3 games and there dlc, marketing etc. They want to release free quests and mission so they added micro transactions to help pay for those. Or they are going to fix server issues an make the future dlc'a better and pay people who work for the company.
-
So...cosmetic updates in a video game that people can pay for if they want makes you sick? What the hell kind of cushy life do you live? -blam!-, man. If it was Pay us $15 for whatever weapon/armor you want and you can get as many as you want, then there'd be a problem. But cosmetic? Christ, dude. These items aren't blocked off from you. You have to pay to get them.
Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
They're trying to make the gaming experience better as a whole and you're bitching about it. You want shit for free? You're taking advantage of people and that's wrong. It's not a debate.

Most 60$ games have COSMETIC MICRO TRANSACTIONS,
-
Well I mean every cod is 60$ and they have MT.... it's sad because the cod community is probably the most toxic thing ever yet they don't whine a bitch because of MT. It's just a dance like holy shit you guys with dooms day mentality act as if they are selling a 4th class and subclasses.
-
Edited by Oozlum: 10/7/2015 7:04:15 PMNo, it's a debate. And one that you already lost. It's coming. Cry all you want. You're not blocked off from doing my super sweet new dance move. You can do it too. Just get 2 bucks. And maybe stop being such a whiney little, self entitled bitch. If they can't make a buck in quirky new shit for us to buy and play with, then they simply won't make anything new and quirky. You want that? If I were you, princess, I'd be pissed that only one person has twilight garrison and you are blocked out from having it. You paid for it? It's in the destiny content you purchased right? Stupid little self entitled bitch
-
Lol this is hilarious
-
Borderlands 2 did this, halo 5 is doing this. It's cosmetic, stop being dumb
-
How are they taking advantage of you, or anyone? You dont have to buy it, its a emote that does nothing to make your character better. Move on already!
-
If it doesn't impact the overall gameplay of Destiny then whatever. If you don't want to spend the money, don't. Its that simple. It'd be different if you could purchase guns. Quit crying
-
they doing this because all dlc going to be free I think

You paid for the content that already exists. They don't owe you anything. It's emotes anyways. If you want them, buy them. That's it.
-
kind of agree...
-
*140 dollar game
-
Someone doesn't know what a standard business model looks like for Micro transactions nowadays Protip: It gets far worse than this normally.
-
Not taking advantage of anyone. It's new content that doesn't affect the action game in any way, available for additional purchase if the you so choose to partake.
-
All of your favorite games in recent times most likely had some type of cosmetic microtransactions This isn't that big of a deal.
-
Edited by hexxem: 10/7/2015 6:58:16 PMDLC is just an over priced micro transaction. Where's the outrage in that?
-
Lol, war frame was free. Take your bullshit elsewhere
-
Your wrong. Debate over. I win.
-
If they keep it at the same level that Gearbox did with Borderlands 2, I'm ok with it. Anything else, I'm out. Microtransactions are never a good idea.
-
They are fvcking emotes you whiney little cry baby bltch. seriously, grow the fvck you sniveling little -blam!-. grow the fvck up.
-
And this thread is totally gonna change their minds... right? No.

Edited by Gauzl1: 10/7/2015 7:13:44 PMIt's called business, if Bungie/Activision doesn't continue to make enough profit from destiny then they will bin it, oh and, Bungie doesn't owe you anything, you agreed their ToC when you started playing destiny.
