There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.
-
Maybe you just need to wait until allowance day?
-
They do if the rest of the dlc til destiny 2 comes out is free but the fact that the ttk is going to be free in January pisses me the -blam!- off why the -blam!- would you -blam!- someone in the ass and then common there face after they told you no
-
well… advanced warfare had micro transactions for their supply drops and they were pretty successful… besides you aren't even required to buy it. Plus it's funding our dlc so we're getting free dlc until destiny 2…I don't know why you're complaining
-
i know everyone on here is 50/50 about this whole micro transaction thing but lets just put this out there for a second Destiny is supposed to be a 10 year game, its been almost a year since it came out, they cut corners with the original release and filtered out content so they could make more money. Acti-bungie also made the game more exclusive for PS players with their exclusive content, not complaining i could have cared less to get the monte carlo and hawkmoon for xbox early, just a couple of weapons. but now they are making a completely different game, destiny 2??? really??? and more than likely last minute those free dlc's are gonna be switched to bundles for digital downloads and be included in the 100 dollar collectors edition of destiny 2, so really everyones gonna be screwed because we all. know how acti-bungie works. so much for a 10 year game. and dont compare this to WoW, cuz I am sure that if blizzard had their hands in monopoly we would be completely -blam!-ed out of our own money Just pointing shit out to players SOLO OUT
-
I agree with you because I have seen this kind of cash grab before. All the white knights will come out and justify it with any sophistry they can grab but my experience tells me the majority of them probably dont pay for their own stuff and/or their experience with these kinds of changes is very limited as most I would expect have never had a different gaming platform than their current one. Save your breath, these people can learn the hard way while we as discerning customers move on to the next thing. The timing of it is obvious as well. Bungie would be expecting to lose a significant portion of their income stream to fallout and halo next month. Destiny is an ok game but as a mmo it fails, it doesnt have the content or challenge of a pc based mmo. Its really an entry level mmo attempt. Kudos to Bungie for trying but it falls short in a lot of aspects and really you will end up with a majority of early teens as the larger portion of the playerbase on a console simply because its easier and cheaper. Enjoy Destiny while you are still having fun in it and move on to the next big thing when that comes out.

Edited by TheSpaceGeneral: 10/7/2015 10:06:50 AMI'm looking for a word to describe you. Oh, found it! Entitled.
-
They really don't. I don't understand why there isn't any pushback anymore. So long as these microtransactions result in faster development and sizeable free content updates, I can tolerate them.
-
One micro transaction and its complete chaos in the forums, hasn't ANYONE played cod
-
Edited by Dylpickle49: 10/7/2015 11:16:42 AMWell neither do 40 dollar DLC that in a week we are halfway through #deal with it
-
$60???? Hahahahahhaahha I have $200 into the god damn thing.
-
150$ game**
-
If you think Destiny has bad micro-transactions for a $60 game, you clearly haven't played Assassin's Creed Unity.
-
Selling a game, without even mentioning micro transactions will be added a month later is wrong.
-
This isnt a $60 game, its actually $120 to get the full game
-
It's only the beginning
-
So don't buy the emotes.
-
I disagree with some emotes will not kill it secondly look at wow you have to buy every expansion + monthly subscription fee and there is micro transaction too so we can't complain
-
There just emotes for the people didnt want to pay for the collectors edition. I got digital download so I wouldnt mind paying like €1-3 for an emote
-
No let's get this right. You don't belong in this game. Shut up or ship out.
-
Edited by user: 10/7/2015 8:47:11 AMTell it to other games. What about WoW? You had to buy the game and then pay subscription each month to play it + microtransactions haha. :P + You will get free DLCs for Destiny. You don't have to buy them.
-
Edited by KidSixXx: 10/7/2015 8:44:54 AMI find it amusing that people are upset about microtransactions for cosmetic items. People are saying things like "You are taking advantage of us?" like they have no control over their own bank accounts. Does it really bother you that your Titan can't dance the Rimmergold? If it doesn't then don't spend your money. Be thankful it is not a P2W thing where players can buy LMs, Focused Light, Sparks of Light, or Y2 Exotics with Silver. The only thing that annoys me is that Tess will only sell emotes right now. Where are the jumpships and sparrows?
-
Erm call of duty... No game changing stuff there just skins.
-
Oh Borderlands2? You could buy skins, at least on steam. This will all be ok once I've purchased the slow clap.
-
for real dude its not a big deal at all. Activision gets their filthy greedy paws on some extra money makeing them happy. People who want emotes and to sped money are happy. Those who dont want to spend money dont have to because the emotes are pointless and just a novelty, so they are happy. I would much much much mich much rather have it be this way than destiny turn into a pay to win or some shit like that. So in reality this is not hurting anything and may actually help in the long run. You know funding dlcs in the future sp they are cheaper or free?
-
God you're dumb. The point in micro transactions is to fund them for the free dlc packs they plan on adding in year 2. Anybody who buys them is funding free content for everybody else. Remember bungie is only allotted a specific amount of money from Activision from sales of the game so this is a simple way to fund future updates quicker for the whole community to enjoy for free. While we will still be getting 2 premium dlc packs this year.
-
How do you expect Bungie to fund this game? Seriously, they have to get money somehow, how do you reason the funds it takes to make the content we play? Do you even understand how much it cost to make TTK? Microtransaction profits are used to make new content in lots of different games, to name a few, Mass Effect 3, GTA V, Warframe, ESO, Path of Exile, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft... The list goes on.
