You guys clearly stated that if one had an exotic, "we put together an algorithm" (wow, how complicated is it to scan one's inventory prior decoding an exotic engram?!?) so one should not get it again from an exotic engram.
Well, I already got the Zhalo 4 times, the Claws of Ahamkara 4 times, the 4th horseman 3 times (maybe 4 actually, can't remember), and I got roughly 50% of my other year 2 exotics twice.
The worst irony, after a gazillion strikes yesterday night (i.e. the nerf to 3 of coins is not working as you said either / drop rates are now much lower with strikes), I got the heart of the praxic fire even though I was wearing it during all those strike - maxed out for a long time now mind you - and while Xur is selling it.
Do what you say or please stop lying to us. This is sickening when I trusted you guys and spent so much time (and three of coins) on strikes for such results...

Am I the only one noticing a huge drop in the rate exotic engram drops in the Year 2 strikes (even though Bungie clearly told us this is the way to use our three of coins and not to go to orbit in between strikes to raise the odds even higher)? Based on only two tests, so it's worth what it's worth even though the 20% drop rate was quite solid and confirmed by many before the nerf: about 10 strikes or so to get an exotic engram drop / never went back to orbit / splurged 13 three of coins (because of the multiple bosses on some strikes). I.e.: 10% drop rate in my case... The only good news, yesterday night I finally got an exotic I didn't already have - it had been a long time since this last happened. And being the Year 2 version of the Monte Carlo, as much as this pisses me off that Bungie screwed it with the 3 of coins nerf, I am quite happy as this will save me 150 precious legendary marks ;)
