I just bought the taken king dlc a week ago for 360. But my wife just bought me a xbox one. I need to know if I can transfer over my characters and game to my new console.

Alright another question. I'm guessing I have to buy destiny brand new for Xbox one? Or is there a way I can upgrade to the the console for a discounted price?
