The reality of the situation, whether you want to accept it or not, is this: $60 for a game isn't enough. Development budgets have skyrocketed over the past ten or fifteen years and the price of games has stayed the same, so instead of jacking up the price to $80 or even $100 standard, you can buy DLC. Which do you prefer? Because you'll bitch about both, but you'll also bitch when the inevitable collapse of the video game industry happens and you have no more games to play. Video game prices need to go up to match inflation and the increasing costs to make them or the business can't sustain itself. It's reality. DLC and other after-purchase revenue streams are the only thing keeping video games afloat right now. Huff and puff all you want, it's the reality of the business.
