Guild Wars did it. Worked just fine. Game didn't implode. People didn't win via wallet. The sky is not falling. The end is not upon us.

You don't get it.

Actually I think you are the one who doesn't get it. You can't have it both ways. Do you want to pay for dlc every 3 months or do you want there to be a store. You can't have free dlc and no store. This is a revenue stream. It's a business model that works and tends to make the entire game available to a larger amount of people.

Bungie has not in any way shape or form stated there will be free dlcs.

Read the update again. Then read the kotaku article. Then read the update again. It's pretty clear.
-
Apparently not for you. The kotaku article that basically says I know a guy who knows a guy that said this. Sure I believe it, not.
-
Did you read my post? Ugh never mind. Think what you will. Chicken little it up. The sky's falling after all

No I get it just fine. What I don't get is why people are making such a big deal out of it. Micro transactions are a proven business model. Some companies have not done them right, I'm looking at you Dead space, and others like Arena Net have done them very right. When done right the model benefits everyone. There are precisely 0 indications that this will be a Deadspace type debacle. You're freaking out over nothing.
