The micro transactions are for "emotes" When has that ever helped you in game? If it keeps the cost of server maint, updates and DLC down, why would you be against optional "cosmetic" items ? If enough people throw money at the screen your next DLC could be free. The reason why Bungie is considering this is with all the changes that came with TTK, Destiny is heading the route of MMORPG business practices. Those options are either subscription fees (which our every three to four month DLC kind of is) or micro transactions. Obviously Bungie is testing the waters, vote with your wallet
