Actually I think you are the one who doesn't get it. You can't have it both ways. Do you want to pay for dlc every 3 months or do you want there to be a store.
You can't have free dlc and no store. This is a revenue stream. It's a business model that works and tends to make the entire game available to a larger amount of people.

Bungie has not in any way shape or form stated there will be free dlcs.
