Well I guess its ok then, since they are going to add this feature in the future as an update that you didnt pay for and that it didnt come with the game previously or in a dlc. Nothing in this is preventing you from getting exotics, into raids, or even secrets in story missions, its just emotes.
Adding items behind mirotransactions like this after you had paid for the game and expansions does not make you entitled to them, especially if you did not know beforehand that these things were even gonna be added. Its not being forced so, no, its not taking advantage of people.

You don't get it dude. Your not seeing what's harmful here. They are changing the structure of the game. If you agree with this decision to add micro transactions then you hate video games and you want them to die.

I dont hate video games and I dont want them to die either but, I can care less about this particular decision on this version of microtransactions. If they were to just as a 'Donate' button on the site to help support them and the game then that is also their choice. Like twitch tv, you can watch for free or subscribe to a channel to use emoji's in chat, or you can donate. All optional. Right now, there is no change to structure when its just emotes. If they ever go beyond that then yes we can come back to this and discuss how they made a huge mess of things. I'll buy an emote or two if that will promote them to add more freakin strikes to the playlist or even add more side story missions here and there to tell more of the destiny story. Im only concerned about where my money is going, not yours. If someone doesnt want to buy an emote then so be it. If I want to spend a bit of my money on one, then I shouldnt have to catch flak from someone else who didnt work for my money.
