  • I only have about a thousand times now but I gladly will. It's not a proper way to earn money and propel the games quality. The studio should only be relying on the quality of the game to make money. When we given the devs money for doing nothing then we aren't challenging them to make better content. It's always in the consumers best interest to challenge the dev to make better content.

Ah ok. Well then I'm afraid that's very much up for debate. First as to proper, I'm not sure that you can really argue that it's improper. Indeed given that microtransactions are the standard for persistent world games, I'd say that purely cosmetic optional items is the most proper way as it keeps them from trying to monetize player success (pay to win). So your argument didn't hold up there. Ok so what about content. We're paying them for doing nothing so why work on good content? Why not just snort cocaine, crank out some emotes once a month and go back to hookers and blow? Case closed right? Well no. Keep in mind that with only cosmetic items, people need to actually keep playing. If no good content comes, there's no reason to keep playing, and then no one to keep buying emotes. So very much up for debate whether this is right or wrong. Could go either way at this point.

  • I'm not arguing it's the truth. Micro transactions devolve the natural progression of quality in a game.

  • Based on what? Plenty of examples where it improved games. Plenty others where it didn't.

  • Look around at some of my other replies I explain it clearly. If you don't care then move on.

That's stupid, anyone with slight business knowledge will tell you you're an idiot. Merchandise has always been the money maker of anything with a big name. Superheroes to Disney and Minecraft. You know how much a foam diamond pick axe from minecraft costs? 30$ at hot topic. Microtransactions are just an in-game version of merchandise, and acting like a company should only rely on the game itself to make money proves to me that you really have no idea what you're talking about. Plus it's not challanging for them to put on a suit, dance a couple times, then put the dance in the game. It's REALLY simple actually. OP , you need to stop because you have 0 actual information on what you're talking about. Everything you've said is opinionated without any form of proof to back up your claims. It's kind of sad really that you'd make up so much bullshit just to try and convince people to believe you.

  • So we should all just have been happy with vanilla destiny & vog I guess.....with no updates, or paid dlcs. To really follow this logic...the quality and sales of destiny the original game would make money & the developers should only be concerned with developing destiny 2.
