God you're dumb. The point in micro transactions is to fund them for the free dlc packs they plan on adding in year 2. Anybody who buys them is funding free content for everybody else. Remember bungie is only allotted a specific amount of money from Activision from sales of the game so this is a simple way to fund future updates quicker for the whole community to enjoy for free. While we will still be getting 2 premium dlc packs this year.

That's exactly how micro transactions end up being a paywall for future content. All of the sudden we trust activision because the taken King is pretty good? Did we forget about the last year and all the gimmicks they've pulled over the years? Why do people have such a short term memory when it comes to this sort of thing. I don't trust it for one second even though I want new emotes lol.
-
"Micro transactions" name one game that micro transactions had become a paywall forcing you to purchase them? Micro transactions are small items that are almost always purely cosmetic or boosters of some sort. You're thinking of dlc packs. I have never in my life seen a game that forces you to purchase cosmetic items to continue lol.
-
It's in a shit ton of pay to win and free 2 play games on pc. The only difference has been console gamers usually get po'd about it. Hoping it continues so we don't see garbage like this on consoles ever.
-
They have plenty of budget to work with this is just being greedy at this point.
-
Bungie is a large company and Activision's contracts state they take nearly 60% of all profits leaving bungie with well under 40% to put into the game after paying all of their employees. You obviously don't understand how business and contract work. Bungie is just the developer who works on a budget. Micro transactions (that doesn't hurt anybody, you self entitled brat) are a amazing way to fund your game while not forcing anybody to actually purchase anything needed.
-
You have know idea how these things work.
-
No sir you obviously have no idea how things work. Please tell me how its wrong to charge for a cosmetic item added later in the game to fund a BUSINESS. (That thing that was invented to MAKE MONEY)

Edited by Toxic Devastator: 10/7/2015 4:25:36 AMIt's wrong because it's not earned money. If the Devs aren't being challenged then we will always be getting sub par content. They] only thing you will get by pushing the devs to give you more for your dollar is better content. They won't lower the price and that makes perfect sense. But they we can push to get as much as possible. I only want whats best for you and I.
-
Okay you're proving again to be a idiot. How does not having micro transactions make them try harder? That makes no sense. They have different teams working on these. There's a team who only works on the micro transactions and a team who works on the content packs. And them making money wont make them lazy because they know if they become lazy they will lose money. Bungie isn't stupid they held the biggest Microsoft franchise up for so many years and the only reason destiny was so bad was because the cut employees.
-
If you don't get it man it's fine I don't blame you. It's hard to understand all of this.
-
Its not a matter of not wanting to get it lol. It's a matter of it makes no sense at all. The arguement has no actual foundation.
-
I'm not here to teach you how to get into an argument. If your wondering about that go insult someones mother? I'm here to let you know that you have some kind of complex. You feel the need to defend Bungie. Bungie is not hurt by my post. There's pretty much no reason for you to even be talking to me.
-
Where did I mention anyone's mother? And its a public forum. You gave an opinion on a subject and I then challenged your opinion with logic. If you didn't want someone who was going to add actual logic into the mix which you seem to be lacking within these posts, why did you make a public forum post? You can't enter a forum and not expect to be criticized when someone finds flaw in your logic. Am I defending bungie? No I'm simply stating a logical view with actual facts of business. Haven't been a big fan of bungie until TTK I was disappointed with destiny at launch and still kinda am. But I am slightly impressed with how their attitude changed with TTK. Again. I'm not defending bungie I'm arguing a illogical opinion on a public forum so idiocy doesn't spread.

Dude I'm going bed.
