Think of it like this, they sell a few right. We all pay for them. But are they just going to make a store full of dance moves lol ? No they need to keep the store fresh so we keep getting things. Question is what other things will be sold.
-
That's what I'm saying, to think a whole currency and store front is made for just emotes is insane. It's quite insulting they think we're that stupid actually.
-
Uhh have you seen the defenders of this lol they can get away with it XD they would make the most money out of consumable items like most games with micro transactions
-
U guys realize that they work with activision so I don't think they are gonna make game changing micro transactions
-
AW introduces supply drops, They then add microtransactions in the form of slightly superior supply drops that 'won't give an advantage to paying players!' Well, guess what happened? Destiny will start with emotes, then some engram that is like a legendary engram, but gives more cryptarch rep, or has an increased chance of being decrypted into an exotic. Then, in a few months time there will be exclusive gear in these Tess Everess engrams! Now this will most likely just be a reskin of another armor set that offers no distinct advantage... At first. Then they'll add weapons; maybe old guns with a new paint job and a different name, but then they'll move to weapons with exclusive perk rolls that you can hunt for! Then they'll add a whole new line of borderline exotic perks for exclusive new weapons IN the Tess Everess engrams! Then they'll slowly start adding weapons to the mix that are Tess Engram exclusive exotics! You guys can say this is a slippery slope fallacy all you want; but look at AW the EXACT same thing happened there. Open your eyes, Guardians! We NEED to speak out and stomp this infestation out before they can let it take root in our games! We have a voice that even Activision can hear if we band together. This isn't the time for some of us to ridicule others who are fighting, if we're a unified force: we're more powerful than any corporation. After all, the community as a whole is the boss of the company, let's show them what we think!
-
Lol no, the fact they work with activistion enforces my point
-
-
Activision is solely driven by the money to be made, doesn't hold the games best interest at heart at all. Although bungie may do they ultimately are trumped by activision
-
Just a BUNCH of stuff u don't need
-
And continues with emblems... then class items with "no impact on the game"... and then this game becomes as pay to win as Neverwinter is.
-
I think they'll allow you to buy engrams soon. That's where the money will be at for them
-
I predict... increments of $5 for payment of silver, and legendary engrams will be about $8 (force you to pay $10) and $15 for exotic armor engrams, and $20 for exotic weapon engrams.
-
Yes, something along those lines. Really a shame.

Like, I've spent a shit ton of money on League of Legends, but Riot Games deserves my money, compare actions of each company. Riot Games vs Bungie. Riot Games: Makes massive tournaments, consistently listens to their players, made a separate fucking client for people to test out new skins and champions, they have made eSports an absolutely gigantic thing, where ESPN is even interested in it, where players can become good enough to become pros and earn a fuck ton of money, around the age of 19 and up. Bungie: Disappointing release of the game, lies after lies after lies, refusal to fix many bugs, two expansions that were nowhere near worth the money, it has taken them a whole year to put some sort of effort into the game, THE GODDAMN SPRINTING COOLDOWN IS STILL IN THE GAME, ROBOTS DON'T HAVE STAMINA, WHY IS SPRINT COOLDOWN A THING. im rustled
