I would agree with you, but unfortunately that is how Activision and EA have always been. If there is opportunity to make more money from minuet transactions they will lead the charge. That's like expecting bias people to make unbiased decisions.
However in your defense Destiny does seem to have a large bit of content cut from its original game, and though these micro transactions are only emotes they do help fund the idea that Activision can continue this trend into more desirable products the public might want.
