There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.

From what I understand they are treating this as a kickstarter of sorts. The money from these microtransactions will provide for further improvement and free DLC or expansions. Basically, buying into these items will provide for a better experience down the road. However we are not guaranteed that this will happen. Unlike kickstarters where people can actually sue if the company in question does not fulfill there end of the bargain, Bungie is not actually promising anything for buying these things. If they keep up their current idea of giving out free DLC later on then I am OK with these microtransactions because they are currently purely cosmetic. However, if they ever turn into a pay2win ideaology, there will be an uproar from the community. Hopefully they also keep to the free DLC being funded by these microtransactions and there will be much more content *patched* into the game rather than having to buy in. They are a company and they do have to make money after all.
