Question: If I post a video of a Sunbreakers doing really bad, is that proof that Sunbreakers are weak?

  • It's because it's in comparison to the other classes. He showed the potential of golden gun, stormcaller, and sunsinger. The super is way out of line, and it needs to be nerfed

  • Golden gun has 3 shots Bladedancer will only net you that many if the enemy team is VERY close together Nova Bomb .. you really get at least 4 kills every time?? Sunsinger has the ability but it's way harder to pull off Stormcalers are the same as sun singer. Easily denied by team shooting or shotgun or sniper or other super

Do you think a majority of the class runs Achlyophage? Regardless of your answer, it's essentially a 98% chance at 4 kills. Throwing in Combustion and Keyhole, maybe a few more. Bladedancer...you're just wrong there bud. I've gotten 3 kills running from A to B then halfway back to A in a control game. That's not close together. Close together you can net much more. Sunsinger is really not too hard to pull off 4 kills with with firebolt and enhanced armor. Nova Bomb? Yeah, I can usually place it well.

  • Achlyophage isn't year 2. If you're including year 1 equipment then Bladedancer is easily shutdown by shotguns. Firebolts have been slightly nerfed. Point is if you're skilled enough to net those mount of kills with other subclasses then what's stopping you from netting 6+ as a sunbreaker?

  • I mean .. if you place good nova bombs for 4 kills ... you can do the same with a hammer or 2. Then go on your merry way for another 15 seconds

  • Someone posted a video earlier this week and he was terrible at pvp. Yet every time he popped a super he got at least 3-6 kills and the only thing that killed him was another hammer and a nova bomb lol.

  • Good luck finding a video of a bad sunbreaker. Gun skill doesn't count because that would translate to any class. A total scrub can pop sunbreaker and net at least 3 to 5 kills.

  • That's different. Just because someone is skilled, doesn't make something balanced. If the skilled player were to use hammers, then he would be even better. You must compare things on equal ground.

  • No, it just means that rather than trying to work around it the general community would rather have their class be buffed and be hand fed power by Bungie.

  • Crazzykid is right though. Not that many passive abilities will elevate a players gun skill. Grenades could be argued but fusion grenades are quite good. So aside from maybe movement type it comes down to supers. A skilled player will guaranteed net more super kills with a sunbreaker vs other class.
