Back in the '80s and '90s you'd be lucky to get 10 hours out of a $50 game ($80 today). You kids don't know how good you have it.

    It's an excellent comparison. You get so much more content now than in the 90's, games are basically free now. I used to be happy when I got 10-15 hours of entertainment out of a 50-60$ game.

  • The OP is making a value argument. I am providing context. Even in today's market 8-12 hours is common for a $60 game. The arguments around TTK's lack of perceived value are intentionally ignorant. Of course any game is a ripoff if you use Skyrim or Civilization as a benchmark. But that's not intellectually honest.
