I am making this post because as a history teacher I think it was an awesome, funny Easter egg: Hannibal, a perk I recently acquired on a Duvalin machine gun, which deals extra damage to Cabal Legionaries. The Cabal are obviously inspired by the Spartans/Romans (Legionaries, Phalanxes) as the Hive are inspired by Dark Age mythology (Thrall, Knights, Wizards) and the Vex are inspired by Greek mythology (Goblins, Hobgoblins, Minoutar, Harpies). The perk is called Hannibal because, and no, it's not Hannibal Lector, Hannibal of Carthage was one of the most ingenious and strategic generals of all time. When he attacked the Romans instead of going around the rocky plains of Italy, which is what the Romans expected them to do, Hannibal led his troops right through the mountains on elephant back to Rome's elevated location. This is just a post describing why this is a cool Easter egg. Nothing more. Have a great day, Guardians.
