It's because they don't get what you have a strong concept of. Shooters don't normally have jumping puzzles and that's a frustrating topic for people that just don't have a firm grasp of shooter + puzzle.
Another thing is that the new puzzle challenges people with a new concept: to land squarely on the platform instead of as far from the edge as possible.
True, it's not difficult, but to those that just don't understand how inertia works in this game and it's frustrating when others make it look easy.
I'm not one that has many problems with the jump puzzles, but those that do have problems will only get frustrated if you make fun of them instead of the situation and only get progressively worse.
