Being in a party with someone who is disciplining a child is always uncomfortable. Several friends are either parents or are regularly in charge of a younger relative. I've heard everything from the super serious, quiet dressing down that you know had the kid quivering right through to explosive death threats being screamed at a 6 year old who decided that the walls required her artistic touch. Here is a hint though - screaming at 6 year olds will quickly lose you the respect of your fellow adult friends. But hearing your friend switch from laughing with you into super serious telling off mode is hilarious.
