You are sitting in front of your tv playing destiny anyway, right? Why not make your time useful instead of being some salty dude on the forums? And I guess you didn't know, but 5000watts has a condition that doesn't let her have a day job like normal people. So who is the scrub here? I stream on my free time doing trials carries and have made lots of money without even asking for it. Moral of the story here is that you are the scrub for not taking advantage of opportunities. Or maybe you just suck and can't make a stream. Either way, GG on being salty for someone else's success. :)

  • You know I was at the movie theaters the other day and saw a guy that need one of those cart things to stand and probably had some mental problems working at the ticket ripping area. If that guy with those problems could get a simple day job like that then I'm sure anyone can so unless she's a vampire I don't see any excuse to why she couldn't get a day job. Also the reason I don't stream even though I play games is pretty simple. I don't care about streaming and never will since I just play games for my own pleasure and also know that I won't waste money on cameras or capture cards. Also, I'm not playing destiny but instead replying to this post and then returning back to a tremors review.

  • Whether she can get a day job or not is beside the point. The point is, she never asked for money in the first place and didn't start streaming to make money. And did you ever think that maybe she bought her camera and etc. with donation money, therefore not having to pay from her own pocket? I just don't see why you don't like streamers. A person can play for their own pleasure while still broadcasting it, there is nothing wrong with that. Direct your attention towards more deplorable streamers like Shesmynerd or Wishyouluck, both streamers who are generally considered to be dicks but still get paid anyway. If I was gonna be salty about anyone making money, it would be them and not 5000watts. Point being, you can stream and make extra money from your hobby while still contributing to society with a day job, it's only the smartest thing to do with your play time and to say otherwise is foolish. Realkrafty does it, I do it, and so can anyone. It's not "sitting on your ass all day and getting paid."

The whole point of his argument is to condemn the streaming profession, why would he aspire to do the thing he condemns? That would be the most hypocritical thing ever.

  • My point is, why condemn it in the first place? Specially because 5000watts is actually nice and respectable. She had people (other streamers) generously donate to her one day without her asking and she had an emotional moment on stream from it. This isn't Shesmynerd we are talking about, we are talking about a girl who felt like her dreams became real and actually cried on stream from it. Yet this dude on the forums is talking bad about her simply because she gets paid for playing video games and he wishes he could sit all day and make money? My response was simply either to go do it, or stop complaining about those who do. Specially someone who doesn't ask for money in the first place.

  • Because streaming is one of those things that takes no skill?

  • Actually, no. People watch a stream either because of quality gameplay or entertainment. You either have to be skilled enough to have good gameplay or entertaining enough to watch. Neither are easy.
