People use the best things in the game because they are the best things in the game. It is becoming more and more popular now that more players are realizing how good it is. I have it and I swear by it, and I truly hope it doesn't get nerfed, but Bungie doesn't like the overuse of anything. It may take a while, but I just think at some point, either the HJ itself or scouts in general will be toned down. Just based on history. I'm so tired of them nerfing every single thing, and just hoping this ends differently, especially since the only real thing it is OP for is PvE. But to answer your question: It is a long range Fatebringer with more than double the magazine (with Triple Tap). It not only has the clearing power for trash mobs at any range, but can put decent DPS on a boss if you land all 29 shots, plus a decent reload speed. Unlike FB, it is easily attainable with marks. Just my thoughts on it; no one knows what will happen in the future.
